Jeromy Lamya’s professional experience spans business consulting, business analysis, corporate finance, entrepreneurship, economic development, analytics and artificial intelligence. His work across Africa, Europe and the United States has developed his ability to evaluate complex challenges, strengthen strategic and financial decisions, and help organizations identify practical opportunities for sustainable growth.
Business Consulting and Business Analysis
As a Business Consultant and Business Analyst with the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center, Jeromy advises entrepreneurs, startups and established businesses through various stages of development, from concept validation and formation to financing, expansion and operational improvement.
His consulting portfolio extends throughout Pittsburgh and the wider Pennsylvania market, covering industries such as food and hospitality, manufacturing, professional services, healthcare, transportation, retail, technology, construction, personal services and entertainment.
Jeromy evaluates business models, develops financial projections, conducts market and industry research, analyzes pricing and operating costs, and prepares businesses to pursue financing. He also advises entrepreneurs considering acquisitions, government-contracting opportunities and long-term growth strategies.
His work goes beyond preparing business plans and financial documents. He helps business owners test their assumptions, recognize financial and operational risks, evaluate opportunities and convert business ideas into practical strategies. His approach combines financial analysis with a broader understanding of markets, operations and organizational performance.
Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
Jeromy contributes to statewide initiatives involving analytics, artificial intelligence and the modernization of business-support services through the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center Network.
As a member of the Pennsylvania SBDC’s statewide AI Team, he supports the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence, the development of client-training resources and the practical application of emerging technology in business advising. His work explores how AI can strengthen research, planning, productivity and consulting services while maintaining professional judgment and accountability.
He also conducts geographic and socioeconomic analysis supporting organizational planning and resource allocation. This work involves evaluating population, employment, business activity, geographic coverage and client distribution across several counties in Western Pennsylvania.
In 2026, Jeromy developed a machine-learning-based client-intake concept designed to improve client routing and reduce dependence on manual assignment processes. The initiative reflects his ability to connect business knowledge, analytics and technology to improve organizational systems and service delivery.
Corporate Treasury and Financial Analysis
Jeromy developed his corporate finance foundation as a Finance Development Officer with Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, where he worked within a complex multinational environment involving treasury, liquidity management, working capital and financial operations.
His work focused on strengthening visibility and control over financial obligations. He managed vendor-aging information, supported cash-flow and liquidity planning, improved payment-prioritization strategies and contributed to supply-chain financing initiatives. He also worked with financial institutions and suppliers on credit terms and funding arrangements while evaluating interest rates, currency movements, inflation and pricing conditions affecting business performance.
Jeromy also supported the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP systems to strengthen financial reporting and data management. This experience developed his understanding of how financial strategy, banking relationships, supplier obligations, economic conditions and operational performance interact within a large organization.
International Consulting
Jeromy’s international consulting experience includes working with organizations navigating growth, market positioning, operational development and sustainability across different economic and cultural environments.
His engagements have involved evaluating expansion opportunities, assessing market conditions, strengthening organizational positioning and developing commercially practical sustainability recommendations. Selected organizations connected to this work include Cordiallys in France and Naše klasje d.o.o. in Croatia.
Combined with his corporate experience in Africa and extensive business-consulting work in the United States, these engagements have shaped a genuinely international perspective. Jeromy understands that business strategies must reflect the markets, regulations, cultures and operating environments in which organizations compete.
Business Operations and Grant Administration
At the Duquesne University Small Business Development Center, Jeromy has also assumed interim responsibility for essential business-office functions during a period of leadership coverage.
He managed responsibilities involving organizational budgets, grant administration, compliance documentation, institutional reporting, payroll and personnel-cost reporting. His objective was to maintain continuity across critical operations while protecting financial accountability and ensuring that grant and reporting obligations were completed accurately.
This experience expanded his capabilities beyond consulting and analysis by giving him direct exposure to operational management, regulatory compliance and the stewardship of grant-funded resources.
Teaching and Academic Experience
As a Graduate and Teaching Assistant in Information Systems at Duquesne University, Jeromy supported professors and students in courses involving business analytics, artificial intelligence, information systems and emerging technology.
He contributed to course delivery, evaluated assignments, assisted students with analytical and technical concepts, and supported the preparation of instructional materials. He also facilitated applied learning involving data analysis, business technology and the use of information systems in organizational decision-making.
This experience strengthened his ability to communicate complex analytical and technological concepts clearly to audiences with different levels of technical knowledge.
